Golden, Colorado-based Feedback Sports has a new repair stand set to hit the market in June. Called the Sprint, it is modeled after European, fork-mounted repair stands favored by many mechanics in the pro ranks. The new sub-13-pound stand will retail for approximately $270, including a carrying bag.
By Nick Legan Published Apr. 19, 2012 The red-anodized creation’s build quality is exceptionally good, using all metal hardware. The fork mount is compatible with standard 9x100mm quick releases as well as 9×130/135mm, 12×135/142mm and 15x100mm axles. A further adapter will also be available for use with 20x100mm axles.
The entire crossbeam of the stand slides on top of the tripod base to keep weight centered over the legs, seemingly solving an issue that limits other fork-mounted repair stands. The custom aluminum crossbeam extrusion also allows the fork mount to slide in relation to the bottom bracket cradle. The rubberized bottom bracket cradle extends beyond the back of the crossbeam, allowing the rear tire to run in between the two sides and keeping the bike from falling to the side of the stand. In a nod to long service life, the rubberized bottom bracket cradles are replaceable.

Irvine, Calif. (May 4, 2011) – Felt Bicycles, a global leader of innovative and state-of-the-art competition bicycles, is pleased to announce its new agreement with Carroll Shelby Licensing. “Carroll is known for his determination to succeed and his passion for performance,” said Felt President Bill Duehring. “These attributes propelled Shelby to the pinnacle of auto racing and inspired a legion of fans. At Felt Bicycles, we share these same values and we are honored to be part of this project.”
Felt designers worked hand-in-hand with the Shelby team to create a bike that exudes the Shelby image and culture. Designers drew upon the wealth of Shelby racing traditions when developing the design and graphic scheme. The bike features the legendary Wimbledon White and Guardsman Blue paint scheme that adorned many of Shelby’s vintage cars, including the famed GT350.
“Felt Bicycles is a world renowned competition and high performance bicycle manufacturer and designer,” noted Tracey Smith, vice president of Carroll Shelby Licensing. “The team at Felt understands the passion that drives many Shelby enthusiasts, which is similar to the spirit of competition in many Felt bike owners. Now enthusiasts can take their love of Shelbys to the bike trails, streets and beach boardwalks.”
The bike is built around Felt’s hydro-formed aluminum tank frame and fitted with high performance three-speed Nexus internal gearing. The bike rolls on 36 spoke wheels wrapped with “blue dot” tires to resemble automotive racing tires, and a proprietary linkage-designed springer fork affords fast and precise handling. Every detail onthe bike is honed to the tradition and passion embodied by Carroll Shelby and his company.
Each of the limited edition bicycles is individually badged and serial numbered to ensure authenticity. The Shelby Cruiser will be available through Felt Bicycles and its retailers beginning in late May 2011. The bike will retail for $999.

Sven Nys has committed himself to racing for the Landbouwkrediet-Colnagoteam until the end of his career. The Belgian and former world champion signed a deal to compete in Landbouwkrediet colours until the end of February 2014, when he intends to retire. The new deal will also enable Nys and Colnago to continue their extremely fruitful relationship. The Belgian has already cooperated extensively with Colnago in the development of the highly-praised Cross Prestige frame. “I am proud of the confidence that the bank has shown in me,” Nys said after signing his new deal with Landbouwkrediet. “I can now look ahead to three full seasons of racing and I can guarantee that I will be giving all I have. I can continue to combine mountain biking and cyclo-cross, and am now set on making the London Olympics a real objective.” Racing on the Cross Prestige, Nys has taken 10 victories already this season to move into first place in the world rankings. He also has a commanding lead in the Superprestige rankings and looks set for a 10th victory in the series, and is lying second in both the World Cup and GVA Trophy standings. |
